Send out campaigns: individual and mass

Send out campaigns: individual and mass

Should you wish to send an email and/or SMS campaign individually (i.e. to just one voter), you can do this through the Voter’s page.

Under the “Voters” overview/tab, find the specific voter to whom you wish to send an email and/or SMS campaign. Click on the magnifying glass next to the voter’s name.

In the voter’s information page, you will find the option to send an email or an SMS to that selected voter at the bottom of the page. It will appear as follows:

  • Sender: This states who is sending the SMS or email.

  • Template: In this field, choose the template you want to send out in the campaign. The dropdown menu will show all existing templates.

Once you have created the campaign with all necessary configurations (refer to guide https://assemblyvoting.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/9830407 for more details), there are two options for sending it out:

  1. You can select “Send out now” to send out the campaign immediately.

  2. You can schedule the send out of the campaign for later by specifying your desired date/time and then selecting “Send on schedule.”

If you have clicked “Send out now” but wish to cancel, you can click on the abort.png button.

Similarly, if a campaign is scheduled and you wish to send it out immediately instead, you can click on cancel.png. This will bring you back to the previous two send-out options.

Once a campaign has been set to be sent, it will be possible to see which stage the campaign is at as well as the progress of the send-out (the latter one, through a progress bar). The four stages of a campaign send-out are the following:

  • Pending: This field shows the number of individual emails that are waiting to be sent out, after the one that is currently being sent out. This applies when you have more than one email set to be sent out.

  • Completed: This field shows the number of individual emails that have been sent out successfully.

  • Failed: This field shows the number of individual emails that have failed to be sent out.

  • Skipped: This field will show the amount of individual emails that were not sent out because of missing email addresses.
