Candidacy
This page gives you an overview of all Candidacy functionalities available inside Electa both as a user and as a end-user.
The “Candidacy event” format is used for nominating candidates for an election before it takes place. This event usually occurs before an election or while an election is ongoing. Eligible users can sign up to become candidates by either nominating themselves or being nominated by a peer using this “Candidacy event.”
Getting started with Candidacy
To get started, you will need to create your first Candidacy event. You can create candidacies from scratch or by import a file with other candidacy configurations.
1. Create a Candidacy
Go to the “Candidacies” tab on the “Organisation” menu to the left.
Click the
button to the right and select “New Candidacy”.
You are now ready to fully configure and customize your Candidacy event.
2. Import a Candidacy
To import a candidacy, you will first need the .zip file exported from another candidacy (read more on that here).
Start by clicking “Import Candidacy” from the Candidacies overview page, and select the file.
Note that the importer only accepts .zip file.
The newly imported candidacy will appear at the top of the “Candidacies” overview page. And from here, you are able to configure and customize the Candidacy event further.
