Create, edit, and delete slides

To create a slide when there are no slides yet, start by clicking on “+ Create presentation slide” or “+ Create ballot slide“, depending on the type of slide you wish to create.

If you already have other slides, then you can just insert a new one from the “+ Insert new slide here” dropdown menu under or above the other slides.

You can also change the positioning of the slides by dragging them to the desired position in the list of slides.

To edit a presentation slide, simply select the desired slide, click on the button at the top, and make any necessary edits. Click “Update slide” to save any changes.

With a ballot slide, you should keep in mind that certain scenarios will change how you may edit a ballot slide. These are explained below.

• If a ballot slide has been used for voting, and has active votes, it will no longer be available for editing through the button. In this case, you need to do the following:

Go to the Summary overview, click on “Clear Election”. Note: You should only use this function in the testing stage, specifically after you are done testing your election and are ready to set up the real election data. NEVER use this function when your real election event is already set up.  A new screen pops up, after which you need to click on the red “Clear Votes” button. *Once data is cleared, it cannot be recovered. Make sure you are ready to delete the data before proceeding. A prompt will then appear. Here, you type “clear_votes” in the text field to confirm the action to remove cast votes and the extracted voting results Open Now, with the election cleared, you can go back to the ballot slide and edit it.   You have now deleted all votes and reports. The election will also require that you initialize the threshold ceremony and the election board. Video Guide Open

• On the other hand, if a ballot slide has just been created and NOT used for voting, you can simply edit it through the button.

To delete a presentation or a ballot slide, simply click on the red trash can button while editing the specific slide.

When deleting a ballot slide, a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm your action. If the ballot slide has active votes (meaning it has already been used in an election event) and you want to proceed with deleting it, you will also be deleting all submitted votes and generated results.
