E2E

E2E

In the “Advanced” subsection located at the bottom of the election menu to the left, you should see an item labeled “E2E.” Herein lies one of the core mechanisms of Electa, namely the section where you initialize the crucial parts of the system’s end-to-end (E2E) verifiability: the Threshold Ceremony and the Election board.

Without this feature as an integral part of the system, such an election system would be considered a “black-box” system. This means that its internal processes and mechanisms are not open to public scrutiny. Naturally, such systems should be avoided.

End-to-end verifiability in Electa enables:

  • Distributed Trust via system trustees;

  • Verification of voter eligibility; and

  • A public ballot box which records all election activities, allowing the election to be fully verified.
