Production vs Demo mode
Once all the results have been generated from the election and the event has concluded, it is time to exit Production mode in the Live tab.
Click on the “Conclude the election event” button and a prompt will appear. You then have to confirm that you really want to exit the Production mode.
Exiting Production mode, thus concluding the election event, will switch the system back to Demo mode and generate a result report containing the results from the election in a .docx file.
Once you have concluded the election and the event is back in Demo mode, the event is considered to have officially finished.
Exiting the production mode means that:
Production voters can no longer sign in to the system.
Demo voters can again sign in to the system, as it is now back in demo mode.
A result report is generated as an official report of the election event and the elections.
