Live
“Live” is where you initiate (allowing production voters to sign into the election) and conclude the election, as well as download the results of elections. You can find it under the “Live” button in the main menu to the left.
Here, you have an overview of all past election events and can access result data for each.
There are different system functionalities which are enabled or disabled depending on the status of the election. The table below provides an overview of these.

*Note: Every time you initiate and conclude a new election, the previous election will be automatically archived. |
The manner in which you may use the “Live” page changes according to the type of election you are running. Below are specific instructions for using the “Live” page with each election type.
Make sure your voting round and the election’s configuration are set to “open” or “scheduled” before proceeding.
Set the election to Production mode. On the “Live” page, initiate the election event by clicking the yellow button and let the election run for your chosen duration.
Close the voting round when the voting period has ended. Once the election is done, go to the voting round which has been opened on under the “Voting round” page and close it by clicking on “Close” the button.
Start the extraction of the voting round result. Under the voting round, scroll down to the “Voting round report” and click “Start extraction” to generate the results.
Conclude the election to get the result report. Go back to the “Live” page and click the “Conclude the election event” button. You will then exit the production mode and go back to the Demo mode. Most importantly, this will generate the necessary result report and end the logging of events occurring within your election.
You can now download the results and/or results report under “Recently concluded event.” Once you initiate the election again, you will still be able to see the results and results report from the previous one under “Archived election events.”
It is also possible to view the report details and download results under the voting round tab. Remember that you must use the “Live” page in order to download a result report.
For this election type, the button “Download user module data” is not used.

Bring the election into Production mode. On the “Live” page, initiate the election event by clicking the yellow button and run the election. Make sure to always calculate the results in the conductor panel after every vote.
Conclude the election to get the result report. Once the election is done and you have already calculated the results in the conductor panel, close the election by clicking the button. This will take the election out of Production mode and back to Demo mode.
Download result and audit data. You can then download the result files, the result report, and user module data from the “Live” tab under “Recently concluded event.”
*You can download results for each ballot as you conduct the election, but you are only able to get a result report after concluding the election event.
Additionally, you can “Reset all ballots” and “Reset user modules” from the “Live” page between tests. We do not recommend resetting once a production election has taken place, as you will lose election data.
