Data: Downloading and Deleting
This section explains all items which users may export from the system: election results, voter data, auditing reports, and user module data. You can only access election results, auditing reports, and user module data after an election has occurred and concluded. Conversely, you can access voter data at any time.
Election results-related exports can be found under the sections “Live” and “Voting rounds”. Here, you will find the options to download the results and/or a result report. Admins can additionally download the result proofs of mixing and decryption under the “Voting Rounds” section.
Raw data files
To download the raw data files of the election results, click on the “Download results” button. You can find this option under “Live” for both Scheduled and Live Conference elections.
Read more about generating results for each election type here.
This function downloads a .zip file containing 3 separate files:
A .csv file with the voters log, including identifier and voting time.
An .xlsx file with all of the voting results.
A .csv file with information about the votes, including the weight given, reference and label name, and rank attributed.
Result report
Another export available for download is a result report. This is a pdf document containing a report of the results. This report includes the distribution of the votes, their percentage, the winner, total voters, and the number of eligible voters who voted as well as the number of votes and voter weight that were adjudicated.
*Read more on voter weight here.
For Live Conference elections, you can find this under “Live” by clicking on the “Download result report” button.
Alternatively, for Scheduled Voting elections, you can find the result report under “Result” for each voting round, by clicking on the button. The “View result report“ button opens a new browser page with a .pdf file containing the result report.
To read more about results and how to generate them, refer to section Results.
In the “Voters” tab, the user can download the voter data from the system by clicking on the “download” button to the right. This button will open up a dropdown menu, from which you can choose between the following options:
“Download voter CSV”: Exports a .csv file containing voter data. This file will contain all available information about a given voter in the system (identifier, name, email, voter group, weight, election codes, and public keys) as well as their number of sessions, latest activity, and eligible contests.
“Download voter CSV with voting information”: This downloads voter data with voting information in a .csv file. This file will contain all the same information about the voters as in the previous file and all ballots voted on by each voter.
Choosing one of these two items will then generate a .csv file available for download under the “All Export Downloads.”
All Export Downloads: This item redirects you to a “Export file” page where you can see all files which have been exported and can then be downloaded or deleted.
This will give the user a .csv file with all the voters information stored in the system. Be aware that you, as a user, cannot download information about the voters’ election codes.
There are three different types of auditing reports which can be exported from the system. These are the election activity log in a .json file, the organization log in a .csv file, and an election’s audit log - the latter of which is exclusively available for admins to export.
Json board (EVS)
Under the “E2E control panel,” click “Audit site” under the “Board” tab to be redirected to the Election Verification Site. Go to the tab “Election Activity Log” and, at the bottom of the page, click on “Download the full election activity log.”
This will download a .json file with the full election activity log.
Organisation auditing log
At the Organisation level, go to the “Auditing” tab and click on the button. This will export a .csv file containing the organisation log.
This data can be extracted after a Live Conference Voting election has been concluded and the election is back in Demo mode.
If any of the User Modules (comments, amendment, candidacy) have been used during the election event, a .zip folder will be downloadable from the election event in the “Live” section.
The folder will consist of .csv files containing all of the data from the different User Modules.
If no user modules were used during the event, no file can be downloaded since there is nothing to extract.

We recommend that users delete data after an election event, specifically when they no longer have use for it. Voter data can be deleted from the “Voters” tab under the “Import voters” section. You can do this by clicking on the magnifying glass of the specific voter import and then the trash can button.
Remember to never delete data until you make sure you have downloaded all necessary data to conduct an audit if the need arises. We suggest double-checking that you have a backup copy of the necessary data before proceeding with deletion.
